Le Tire-Bouchon Rodier
Traditional French · Paris 9th · €€
Le Tire-Bouchon Rodier took over the former Comptoir Canailles on Rue Rodier, between Anvers and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. Chef Marc Favier spent nine years with Jean-François Piège, notably at Thoumieux, then ran the Bouillon on Rue de Rochechouart and the starred Marcore near the Bourse.
Here he keeps things relaxed: high and low tables, and a counter set up as a "bar à manger". The menu might start with eggs mimosa or cod brandade croquettes, continue with fried chicken from the Landes in barbecue sauce, and end with a greengage tart. As the name suggests, wine matters, with bottles from respected growers such as Catherine and Pierre Breton in Chinon. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
